It’s hard to get a bad shot of Yosemite. This place is so exceptionally gorgeous that no matter where you are you can get a great photograph. This is true even in those spots where every tourist must raise the point-n-shoot to capture their special moment at Tunnel View, Yosemite Falls or Glacier Point. Postcards always have better photos but we just have to try to make our own to commemorate our time & place in this sacred place. Just kidding about the postcard comment.
My attempt came at Glacier Point. There were at least 300 others there this evening ready to listed to the park ranger’s talk. Everybody had a camera and getting a shot without someone in it became the challenge. After the ranger started his stories I wandered off just a few yards, slightly out of earshot and found a nice ledge with a clear view of the valley, Half Dome, and Cloud’s Rest just as the last few rays of sunlight warmed the top of Half Dome.
