Feeling pretty insignificant in the presence of one of the largest living things on earth, how could I NOT photograph it?  This tree, the Grizzly Giant sequoia, is thousands of years old, over 200 feet tall and almost 100 feet in circumference at the base. This one is located in the Mariposa Grove in Yosemite National Park and is the largest tree at this location. There are even larger sequoia trees in Sequoia National Park in Southern California. Someway when I get a wider angle lens I’ll have to go pay them a visit.
